Tip #5: Hold the bacon. Literally. Mice are pros at sneaking bait off traps. Secure your bait to the trap pedal with tape or ties to prevent mice from snacking on your trappings.

If you're using peanut butter or other baits that can’t be tied down, add only a pea-sized amount to the trap. Using more only increases the mouse’s ability to remove the bait without triggering the trap.
